THE GIRLS

'The Girls', three large mixed-media sculptural vessels stand together, their forms engaged in a silent yet expressive dance. Though distinct in their abstraction, decoration, and individuality, they interact in a way that transforms disparity into harmony. These vessels embody the strength found in contrast—where unity is not forged through sameness, but through the dynamic interplay of differences.

Covered in carpet, the vessels are clothed, draped in material often associated with domesticity and subjugation. Here, the narrative is reversed. No longer passive objects to be walked upon, they rise, asserting presence and power. They stand firm, unapologetic, refusing to be overlooked.

A reflection of self, of friendships, of time and age, these vessels claim space—just as women do. They are strong, unyielding, and full of life. In movement and stillness, they embody resilience, autonomy, and the radical act of standing one’s ground.

I am here. I am useful. I am unique. And I dance in my power.
